Volunteer Opportunities
Health Professionals
Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti's staff is primarily Haitian, consisting of 15 physicians and 50 nurses. The medical staff is augmented by volunteer physicians, most of whom represent surgical specialties. Physicians interested in volunteering are encouraged to communicate directly with Dr. Silvia Ernst, the HAS Medical Director at sernst@hashaiti.org. Physicians will be required to present documents reflecting current licensure and clinical privileges.
Other Volunteers
Volunteers in other professions are frequently welcomed, such as in Physical Therapy, Anesthesia, Agroforestry, Public Health, or Administration/Finance. Individuals who would like to volunteer in these or other non-physician roles are encouraged to fill out the online volunteer application form below.
Approval from senior management is required for all interested volunteers.
